Mgr. art. Kateryna Popovych, the executive director of the competition, is artistically active, finishing her doctoral studies at the Department of Orchestral Instruments of the Faculty of Performing Arts of the Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica in violin playing and at the same time a teacher at the ZUŠ Nádvorná in Zvolen and Pink Harmony Akademy. She is a recipient of the Dean's Prize and the Rector's Prize of the Academy of Arts and an award winner at international violin competitions. Her organizational activities are also significant, she is the chairwoman of the Prime Violin Civic Association and she initiated and co-founded the eponymous Prime Violin International Online Violin Competition and its accompanying events.
